The Castrol Cresta VA range is formulated with high quality mineral base oils, with the addition of friction and lubricity modifiers to increase the film strength and reduce friction. Water is thoroughly emulsified by the additives in Cresta VA to resist wash-off from metal surfaces, helping to prevent corrosion and wear when moisture is present.

Application

• Cylinder and Packing lubrication on reciprocating gas compressors when compressing natural gas below its dew point
• Cylinder lubricant for reciprocating steam engines operating with wet (non-superheated) steam
• Higher viscosity products from Cresta VA range can also be used in worm gearboxes
