BP ProCool

Description

BP ProCool is a long-life coolant concentrate based on monoethyleneglycol with advanced organic acid inhibitor technology. In contrast to traditional antifreeze coolants, BP ProCool does not contain amines, nitrites, phosphates, silicates or other inorganic inhibitors. BP ProCool provides excellent corrosion protection particularly engines employing light metals. It is suitable for a wide range of vehicles including cars, trucks and buses using both petrol and diesel engines. It is therefore particularly suitable for use in mixed fleets. BP ProCool works over a wide operating temperature range for efficient engine cooling in all climates.

 

Application

The special inhibitor package used in BP ProCool enables longer drain intervals of greater than 3 years with optimal protection against corrosion, cooling system blockage, overheating and freezing. Extended drain capability limits cost and potential harm to the environment. It is especially suitable for use in engines employing cast iron, aluminium, copper or combination of these metals used in modern engine designs. It is compatible with all standard rubber hoses, gaskets and seals used within the cooling system. BP ProCool provides excellent protection against cavitation corrosion and effective lubrication, increasing life of water pumps. The additive technology used in BP ProCool provides increased stability and reduces the build up of calcium deposits from use of hardwater. This reduces the possibility of radiator blocking and restricting flow of coolant. The heat transfer properties of this fluid are also improved allowing engines to run at optimum temperatures. BP ProCool contains bittering agent to deter from accidental ingestion. BP ProCool is approved against a number of OEM's specifications and also suitable for use against the following vehicle manufacturer specifications; Ford -WS-M97B44-D, General Motors GM6227M, Deutz, Cummins IS series and N14 engines, Jenbacher, Komatsu , RenaultType D, Jaguar CMR 8229 and MTU MTL 5048 Series 200C&I.
